Hi friends,

Today we will see "The LOCUST Pose".

Health tip of the day: SALABHASANA

                                                     Salabhasana

Salabhasana is an interesting yet simple pose which helps in strengthening your back and arms. The name comes from the Sanskrit word Salabha meaning locust or grasshopper and asana meaning posture.

How to do Salabhasana:
  • Lie down on your stomach on a flat surface.
  • Turn your toes inwards facing each other.
  • Exhale and slowly lift your head off the floor.
  • Raise your arms parallel to the ground and stretch actively backwards.
  • Now raise your legs off the floor.
  • Gaze forward.
  • Stay in this pose for 5 to 10 seconds.
  • Repeat this asana for 10 minutes daily.

Benefits of Salabhasana:
  • Relieves stress.
  • Strengthens your arms, legs and back.
  • Stimulates abdominal organs.
  • Stretches your shoulder and arm muscles.
