                                Badhakonasana

Badhakonasana is a sitting posture to improve your body strength. The name comes from the Sanskrit word Badha meaning Bound or restrained and Kona meaning angle and asana meaning posture.

How to do Badhakonasana :

  • Sit down on a flat surface with spine erect and legs spread wide out.
  • Bend your knees and bring your feet towards pelvis such that your soles should touch each other.
  • Grab your feet with your hands for support.
  • Inhale and now exhaling slowly push your thighs downwards towards the ground.
  • Now start flapping your legs up and down breathing normally. Increase the speed gradually.
  • Slow down the rhythm and come to halt.
  • Push your thighs downwards.
  • Now exhaling stretch your legs and relax.
  • Repeat this asana for 5 to 10 minutes daily.
